The World Health Organization classifies burnout syndrome as a condition of chronic stress in the workplace. In Peru, there has been research on the subject, it has been related to work or professional burnout, some define it as burnt-out worker syndrome. It is important to approach it as an occupational health problem and keep in mind that research on burnout in Peru, as in other countries, continues to evolve and be updated with new studies and research approaches. The present study is descriptive exploratory, it seeks to address a topic that has not been studied in the field of the Peruvian Army, no investigations have been developed on the prevalence in the personnel of the institution for this purpose we apply the Maslach Burnout Inventory, in its three sub factors (Depersonalization, Personal Fulfillment, and Emotional Exhaustion), in addition to a variable that we call academic weighted and applied to the dimensions of Senior Officers and Junior Officers. We have found a moderate positive consequence. Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization, as well as a moderate negative Personal Realization and Depersonalization, in addition, approximately 60% of Peruvian Army Officers only reach a high level of Personal Realization while 23% reach a low level. Concluding that its periodic investigation is essential to determine the degree of prevalence and make decisions proposing strategies for its minimization since it can influence the perception that the Officers of the Peruvian Army have of the organizational culture.
