Abstract

This article conducted an analysis of values within the Peruvian Army and their pivotal role in ethics within the
military profession. The aim of the research was to determine the importance of values in instilling ethics in the military profession. To achieve this, a mixed-method research (Qualitative - Quantitative) was conducted, through literature review, interviews with active and retired Officers, and surveys applied to cadets from the EMCH, who signed informed consent documents. The research yielded the following results: values are the foundation of military professional ethics; there is a need for qualified Officers to train cadets at the Military School. It was concluded that the practice of values determines the ethical behavior of Army Officers, and that the Peruvian Army should carry out value-strengthening campaiens to ensure the establishment of Military Professional Ethics.
