Abstract

Educational trends changed with the events that occurred a few years ago; as a result of living through and facing a pandemic that generated concern and tribulation. COVID-19 put the nation to the test, forcing it to demonstrate its capacity for response and action. Consequently, once again, the Armed Forces assumed a significant role through the use of their operational resources in the state of health emergency declared by the government of the day. The effectiveness of the operational force of the Army of Peru is the result of continuous training and military education at all levels of the organization. Learning could not be stopped because it would affect the training, specialization and improvement of military personnel. Finding an alternative that enables the continuity of military training, guaranteeing quality teaching, protecting the health of personnel, and reaching required standards was a challenge. The objective was to promote the development and promote the use of virtual platforms for military instruction and training; consistent with the modernization of the armed forces and the massive use of technological devices. A systematic review of documents dedicated to higher education through virtual platforms was carried out, the selection of these was to formalize quality education and in a decentralized manner. In conclusion, the Army Education and Doctrine Command through its Training, Specialization, Training and Improvement Schools; they adapted their teaching processes to digital technologies, prioritizing virtuality over physical presence, being a visible success in military education.
