Operational environments and their current characteristics, typical of global evolution in all domains, demand that armed forces structure their organizations with a more flexible nature. In the recent context of special operations, modular type organizations commonly called Rapid Deployment Forces (RDF) are used. However, the Army has not yet considered preparing to employ a force with these characteristics. The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the readiness of a FDR for the development of special operations. It was carried out with a quantitative methodology, using the survey technique with a sample of 142 special operators, resulting in the rejection of the research hypothesis because, of those surveyed, a significant majority, 74.04%, stated that they did not find a relationship between the research variables, using the reliability statistic approving. In conclusion, the lack of a direct relationship between the preparation of a rapid deployment force and the special operations of the Peruvian Army is pointed out and explained in detail.
