Abstract

Today, the evolutionary rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to the optimization of functions in various areas of society, particularly in the educational field. This has led to an interest in its implementation in the various programs carried out by the armed forces (FFAA) for the training of their personnel. The objective of this article is to identify the obstacles in the FFAA that limit the implementation of AI in military training and formation programs through a systematic study of the existing academic literature and documentation, using the PRISMA method to collect scientific articles that have been published in the last five years. As a result of the review, we obtain that technical obstacles, such as the lack of an adequate infrastructure for its installation and implementation, and the obstacles of the organizational culture of the institution, such as resistance to change to emerging technologies, are the challenges that exist for an appropriate implementation of AI in schools in order to achieve effective military training, in accordance with the new demands. On the other hand, the importance of suggesting a defined ethical framework applicable to the use of Artificial Intelligence in military education is emphasized, which guides its responsible use for academic purposes. Finally, this study not only contributes to understanding the challenge of implementing AI in the military field, but also provides directions for continuing future research with a view to innovating strategies that overcome the limitations outlined.
